Roy Ayers (born September 10, 1940, Los Angeles) is a funk, soul and jazz vibraphone player.
At a age of 5 , Lionel Hampton gave him his first pair of mallets, wich led to the vibraharp existence his trade mark healthy for decades. Typically known as a "Godfather of Acid Jazz" because of his popularity in England in the Lxxx's, Roy Ayers can be better known for his song "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" which has been sampled by many hip-hop artists. Prevent a picture on the handle of his album "We live in Brooklyn", the large inspiration for the Hip-Hop generation (watch NWA).
